As the night
Hearts are heavy
Stricken with blight
As the funeral progresses
Through dew-lit grass
The heavy black dresses,
Old buttons of brass.
And a little girl, a little girl,
Who stands in the crowd,
Tears, like diamonds on her necklace of pearl,
With red roses, velvet and sweet
Clasped in her tiny hands,
To lie to the grave resting at her feet.
The red roses, the red roses,
The death in their hearts,
Shielded forever, those beloved roses,
With final words: To death 'till we part.

The Endless IsleI come by horse of white, in armour made of elves,
Through endless grass and tree,
Far-fetched land, oft misery?
Nay, say I
In this land of green
Where Dutchesses rule
with peace unto thee,
Whisper wind through knee-high grass,
Horses wild and free.
Birds and beasts living, roaming,
in Valoria, the land of Trees.
Cliffs of grayest, darkest stone,
Looking unto thee
Where Captain brave keeps watchful eye
Over the lands of grass and tree.

As I lay in bed
As insomniac as I am,
Without my
iPod or laptop
I go to deafen myself to the world

Crash!
Thunder rumbles through the sky.
I toss my purple Shuffle aside
As I realize,
I don't need Enya, or Nora Jones, or even Linkin Park
On this night.
No, because tonight,
The thunder is my soundtrack
And the lightning
Is my lightshow.

World War IWorld War I

Shell-shocked
Moaning in the trenches
Barbed wire
As foreboding fences.
Grenades and gas,
And machine-gun fire
Blood spilling to dying grass
Bodies burned on a mile-high pyre
Scarce rest, where it may
Allow for tired souls
The War of the World
Is taking its tolls.
And to our withered lands,
I say,
War, come back another day.

VelvetBlack shadows
Formed and
Nurtured by Goddess Moon,
Spinning a black web
Of velvety darkness
The silent predator
Of Midnight.
Cocooning around me
Wrapping me in a
Nauseating peace.
Linking between
A comfort
And an evil.

It is impure,
Yet much cleaner than the
Very air we breathe
It is cruel
Yet it is kinder than any
Mercy,
Or saint.
It is hateful,
Yet it cares in every possible way.

It is my savior.
My version of a
Guiding light.
It comforts me,
Whispering
Ghostly murmurs in my
Ear.
My eyes seek
Every little detail
Trying to bring them into
Sharp focus.
My tears adorn it
Like glittering gems,
Threade

You're welcome, I hope it's an okay size >.< I made it the rough size of my screen, but I had to keep aspect ratio to keep it from distorting horribly.
